Company Diline provides industrial powder coating services for structures and surfaces of any type and complexity. Our industrial capacity also allows us to construct metal structures of any complexity and scale. To appreciate the advantages of powder coating over conventional paint and varnish coatings, it's worth familiarizing yourself with the main production stages of polymer coating creation.
Powder coating: basic stages and principles of application
The key difference between powder coatings and more common alkyd and acrylic coatings lies in the composition and form of the material. The polymer material is presented as a dry powder that is applied to the prepared surface by spraying.
Surfaces are prepared for painting using mechanical and chemical treatments to remove corrosion and grease. During the spraying process, coating particles acquire a positive charge due to friction or external sources, causing them to become "magnetized" to the negatively charged workpiece being painted. Paint that doesn't adhere to the part is collected and reused for subsequent applications, making the "painting" process highly economical and efficient.
Next, the prepared coating is placed in a curing chamber. The workpiece is heated to 250 degrees Celsius, forming a durable and uniform polymer coating. Melting of the sprayed polymer powder completely insulates the metal of the part, reliably protecting it from corrosion and other damaging factors. As a result, the coating is more resistant to mechanical stress and easily withstands high temperatures (up to 200 degrees Celsius). Furthermore, the electrostatic spraying method allows for perfect distribution of the material over the surface, concealing minor imperfections and defects on the part being coated.
It's worth noting that the cost of powder coating is not significantly different from acrylic or alkyd paints. And when you consider the quality and reliability of powder coating, this method is significantly more cost-effective than other paint and varnish alternatives.
Given the technological complexity of creating high-quality powder coatings, this task can only be accomplished in an industrial setting. Having worked in this field for over 15 years, the company's specialists Diline They have accumulated genuine professional experience. This is why many businesses and private clients trust them.
