Metal cutting tools are widely used in both industrial and household applications. Cutting tools perform a wide variety of operations, including drilling, turning, threading, various types of milling, and more. They can be used to process both metal and non-metal materials, such as wood, plastic, and polymers. When purchasing a cutting tool, it's important to consider the material it's made from.

Metal cutting tools must meet the manufacturer's specified operating conditions. They must be wear-resistant. If you're machining a part that won't heat the cutting edge to high temperatures, you can use tool steels such as U7, U8, U8G, U9, U10, and U13A. If you're machining high-strength steel, consider the load on the cutting edge; it will be higher, and the temperature will correspondingly rise. Therefore, it's best to use tools made of P6M5, P9, and P18 steels; modifications of these tools are also possible.

When choosing a metal cutting tool, consider its intended use and frequency of use. Research criteria such as cutting depth, speed, feed rate, and steel type, and research reputable companies that produce high-quality tools. Don't focus on low price; consider quality and service life.

Inverter plasma cutter

It is preferable to purchase an inverter plasma cutter because it is a very high-quality and at the same time simple method of cutting metal.

It is important to note the advantages of such a plasma cutter when purchasing:

  • the working current can be smoothly adjusted;
  • precise dosage;
  • you can select the appropriate job characteristic;
  • high quality and cleanliness of the metal weld;
  • easily and cleanly cuts metal up to 1mm thick.

Prices vary between companies, but the quality and workmanship are high. A 5 kW inverter plasma cutter can operate with 220 V, while those over 5 kW require 380 V. The thickness of the metal being cut depends on the current.

The right cutting torch depends on the fuel gas used. There are acetylene, methane, propane-butane, and other cutting torches. Find out whether they use injector-based or non-injector-based gas mixing. The equipment can be used for cutting thick metal, cutting holes, underwater cutting, and so on. Classic flame cutting is often used for its versatility, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Mini gas cutter

A mini gas cutting torch improves productivity, enables work in hard-to-reach places, and is cost-effective. The mini gas cutting torch welding kit holds 5 liters, but a cylinder adapter can be used to refill smaller cylinders. These cylinders are highly durable.

Advantages of the mini gas cutter: it can be carried by one person, the kit includes a cutter, short 5 m hoses, 2 5 liter oxygen cylinders and a 2-5 liter propane cylinder.
